well, the above "bang line" is pointing properly... you do have sh installed... 
the permissions on this script file (/etc/init.d/barnyard2) do allow owner/group/others to execute it...

i recall you using the "service" facility... it is possible that this script is not designed to be used with service... so let's try the original old-fashioned format of

   sudo /etc/init.d/barnyard2 start

using sudo to make sure that we're root when running the script...
