[Snort-users] PulledPork modifysid issue

Just so you know - I think I found out why this doesn't work. It's not that the IP address expression is being rejected, it's the "to" field that won't work. The regex is:

/([\d+|,|\*]*)\s+"(.+)"\s+"(.+)"/

Which means that the "to" field *must* have at least one character, but I want it to be null (""). So the regex doesn't work, and the modifysid line is ignored. You can't believe how long I stared at that and didn't see it. So, for this to work, the regex should be

/([\d+|,|\*]*)\s+"(.+)"\s+"(.*)"/

I guess I'll update the issue with that info.
