If you're looking for something less complicated, you might be looking a
long time.

I'm no genius but got a working install going with Michael Steele's Win32 /
BASE / MySQL doc.

Subject: [Snort-users] snort for dummies ?

Hello all,

I installed snort following to the letter what is suggested here :
http://www.sans.org/resources/idfaq/snort.php but somehow I can't get
snort to work. I checked www.winsnort.com , the guide section,
but it all sounds so complicated so I was wondering if any of you
gurus could direct me to a fool-proof snort installation guide for
xp.I have xp home edition.

Thanks in advance for your help :-)
