On BSD systems, try:

# syslogd -cc

Also check out:

# man syslogd

Best regards.

Subject: [Snort-users] Disabling syslogd "last message repeated"

I use syslog for logging snort alert. It works great, except that
syslogd will sometimes write "last message repeated x times" when it
sees that same message more that once in a short time span. Does anyone
know a way to make syslogd log every message?
