[Snort-users] Unable to open rules file: snort.conf error

Check these things to start:
1) ensure you are pointing to snort.conf (you may not be in the directory
where snort.conf resides so it can't find the file)  Try typing:
snort -dev -l log -h 192.168.0.0/30 -c /full/path/to/snort.conf

2) ensure the rules path in snort.conf  reflects where your rules reside.
