Or one like the recently-slashdotted[1,2] 3GHz P4 w/ Canterwood
chipset, that apparently provides 2Gbps for the network interface.

But the asker in this case was having trouble with losing packets on
a 10Mbps ethernet; they need to fix their snort setup, they don't
need to buy new hardware.
