[Snort-users] Upgrade, 1.8.6->2.0.0rc5 - new version won't alert to syslog?

I'm just going to take a guess here that you haven't tried this combination
yet...
Try adding command line "-s" and also adding "output alert_syslog: LOG_AUTH
LOG_ALERT" to the snort.conf.
