This isn't at attack.

One of the DNS "enhancement" services uses pings to determine which of a 
set of webservers is fastest for you. Windows update uses it among others. 
It's mostly there so you don't worry about the strange, small bursts of 
pings being sent to your DNS server, thinking they might be something else.
