It's possible I may not have done a thorough enough search of the list
archives, but I have not found references to this particular problem:

I'm trying to build snort-1.8.6 on a Solaris8 host for flexresp.
(Without flexresp it builds just fine.) I'm getting the following errors
on 'make':

snort.c: In function `InitProtoNames':
snort.c:2757: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast
snort.c:2767: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast
snort.c: In function `ErrorMessage':

snort.c:2834: warning: implicit declaration of function `vsnprintf'
snort.c: In function `LogMessage':

snort.c:2893: `__builtin_va_alist' undeclared (first use in this function)
snort.c: In function `SigUSR1Wrap':
snort.c:3054: `sigset_t' undeclared (first use in this function)
snort.c:3054: parse error before "set"
snort.c:3056: `set' undeclared (first use in this function)

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/snort-1.8.6'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Environment:
Solaris 8 on SPARC (also tried on Solaris 6 with gcc 2.95)
gcc 3.2
autoconf 2.54
automake 1.6.3
m4 1.4
libnet 1.0.2a

Any ideas? Anyone?

Thanks.
