Hello,

I am currently running Snort 1.8 on Red Hat Linux 7.0.

To make sure I was at the latest version of Snort, I downloaded
snort-1.8.1-RELEASE.tar.gz from the download section of Snort.org (I was
told there was a newer build). I run ./configure and it seems to work fine.
But when I run make, I get the text below. Does anyone know what I might be
doing wrong or how I can fix? It seems to mention "pcap" a few times but I
don't see anything about this in the documentation. Thanks!

I run make and get:

checking for u_int32_t... (cached) yes
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
creating ./config.status
cd . \
  && CONFIG_FILES=Makefile CONFIG_HEADERS= /bin/sh ./config.status
