Yes. This is a problem with postgres.  Mysql client libraries natively know
how to retry connections.  postgres client libraries don't seem to have this
functionality.  Very irritating.

"snort: database: postgresql_error: PQsendQuery() -- There is no connection to the backend."

There's probably a reasonably simple way to make it reopen the socket when it
sees this error condition....
