Thanks.  But on Solaris 8, I couldn't find
the stats.  Are they supposed to be in /var/adm/messages?
I tried kill -16.  Should I be looking somewhere else?

"SIGUSR1" is only on AIX "kill -30".

On Linux it is "kill -10" and on Solaris "kill -16".

Send the Snort PID a SIGUSR1 (kill -30) and it should report the stats
to syslog.
