[Snort-users] Snort and Windows 2000 (Newbie)

Well, it's Win2k (from the subject) so I'd guess it's not a root issue.  Anyways
it's snort -V not snort -v (note the uppercase :) )  Other than that, what
network interfaces do you have on your Windows2k box?  It may be that winpcap
doesn't recognize your interface (I know for a fact it doesn't support Token
Ring for example).

You may be expierienceing a permission problem if you're not running snort
as root.
