Or rather what I implied, meant to state. Either way the concept remains the same on ACID not being on a public network facing interface.

Just to note, I am running my snort systems as a distributed mesh and they are all logging to a central db.

Sorry if I confused one or two of you, but I dont think details really mattered in this situation, the reason remains the same.
