[Snort-users] compile cannot find libcap-04

In Linux at least, you could alternatively add the directory
/usr/local/include to the file /etc/ld.so.conf and then run ldconfig -v.

This is how all Linux systems I've babied work.

I dun believe.  It so simple!

If you didn't install the libpacp rpm that came with the system
but instead installed it in /usr/local from a tarball
you'll have to point the install includes at /usr/local/include
the libraries at /usr/local/lib
