	Ok, got snort snatched from CVS, built, dumping data nicely into
MySQL; no errors, life looks good at this point. Now I have the following
problem trying to get ACID to work:

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server
through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) in
/home/httpd/html/acid/acid_main.php on line 94

(config used with above example is:

$alert_dbname   = "snort";
$alert_host     = "localhost";
$alert_port     = "3306";
$alert_user     = "root";
$alert_password = "NO WAY";

	If I use "127.0.0.1" instead of localhost in the $alert_host
field, I get:

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Host 'localhost.localdomain' is not
allowed to connect to this MySQL server in
/home/httpd/html/acid/acid_main.php on line 94

	This is probably a MySQL and/or PHP4 problem and not a ACID
problem, but I thought I'd ask here since probably at least a few people
here have gotten this to work. Thanks in advance.
