I have fixed these problems (committed to CVS tree minute ago :)), so check it
out if it works for you. However, all FreeBSD  versions (including 4.0-STABLE)
should have snprintf in libc and configure was supposed to detect it for the first
place. Strange that it didn't, is it possible to show us configure output as well?
