[Snort-users] Re: [snort] SNORT 1.6.2.2 on Solaris 2.6

Fyodor fygrave at ...121...

~ :
~ :	I'm not sure if this will work but it worked for me when I got that
~ :error compiling programs under solaris:
~ :
~ :	compile using:
~ :
~ :	CFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include make
~ :
~ :	or simply add -I/usr/local/include to the compile options in the
~ :makefile.
~ :
~ :
~ :PD: if it doesn't work try with other include directories (eg
~ :/opt/<whatever>/include)
~ :

Hmm.. I am slowly crawling through my 3 weeks email balance, so the fix
might be already there and I just haven't noticed it, anyway, give a try
to test following patch. It seems that gcc has problems with native
includes on solaris 7 (tested, confirmed). I wonder if there's a way to
find out installation path of gcc, because it isn't always /usr/local/*..
anway, test it out and let us know if it works. if it does, I shall commit
the similar fix to the snort-current tree as well.
