Here's my problems from IRIX with the MIPSPro compilers.

Strange... I run: 

./configure --with-libpcap-includes=/usr/people/jfm/snort-cvs/libpcap-0.4/ \
          --with-libpcap-libraries=/usr/people/jfm/snort-cvs/libpcap-0.4/ \
          --prefix=/Adm/snort-1.6.3-beta6

and 'SHELL = /bin/sh' in Makefile. Afterwards I run 'make' which for 
some reason changes this line to 'SHELL = @SHELL@'??

There are a few warnings about 'argument of type "u_char *" is incompatible
with parameter of type "char *"', but the only compile errors I got was 
caused by '//' comments instead of '/* */' ones:
