[Snort-users] No IP address i Linux

With Linux if it is the OS you are looking for, just do the following:

more  /etc/rc.d/rc.local
#!/bin/sh
#
# /etc/rc.d/rc.local:  Local system initialization script.
#
# Put any local setup commands in here:
# Starting eth0
echo "Assign an IP to eth0 now..."
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 promisc

select eth0 or eth1 and you are all set.
