Sourcefire VRT Certified Snort Rules Update

Synopsis:
The Sourcefire VRT is aware of multiple vulnerabilities affecting Adobe
Reader. This release also adds and modifies rules in several
categories.

Details:
Adobe Director Multiple Vulnerabilities:
Adobe Director contains multiple vulnerabilities that may allow a
remote attacker to execute code on an affected system.

Rules to detect attacks targeting these vulnerabilities and are
identified with GID 3, SIDs 17179 through 17204.

Additionally, as a result of ongoing research, the Sourcefire VRT has
added and modified multiple rules in the chat, exploit, ftp, rpc,
spyware-put, sql, web-activex, web-client and web-misc rule sets to
provide coverage for emerging threats from these technologies.
