[Snort-devel] snort 3.0 bulid errors

Hi,

 

I am trying to install snort-3.0.0-b2. 

 

I used the following steps give in README file.

 

"./configure && make && make install" commands. This was successful.

 

But, when I try to build snort analytic shared object using the following
commands 

 

cd src/analysis/snort

./configure --with-platform-includes=/usr/local/include

--with-platform-libraries=/usr/local/lib

make

make install

 

make give me the following errors.

 

spo_framework.c: In function 'spo_framework_event_render'

spo_framework.c:391: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

spo_framework.c:395: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

spo_framework.c:407: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

spo_framework.c:412: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

spo_framework.c:421: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

spo_framework.c:425: error: 'struct in6_addr' has no member named 'in6_u'

 

Kindly assist me.
