PostgreSQL has for a while(since V7.4) not allowed setting the autocommit
default within its config. This presents a problem since PostgreSQL
automatically wraps inserts, updates, and deletes into 'begin ; <statement ;
commit;". Thus twenty inserts turn into twenty transactions instead of one
transaction. In any case, I am wondering if it would be possible to provide
a switch in the snort.conf so snort sets up its postgresql connections with
'set autocommit off;' before doing anything with its PostgreSQL connection?

Just curious, thanks.
