[Snort-devel] Snort 2.1.0 and 2.0.5 under Windows

Greetings, and belated Merry Christmas.

What does it take these days to compile Windows binaries for Snort from
CVS? Snort 2.1.0 spits out a bunch of errors (like u_int8_t not defined
and such). Snort 2.0.5 seems to have problems with Win32-Code/name.mc
(looks like the command line options for the compiler are wrong or
something).

I'm trying to build using Visual Studio 6.0 as usual. Do I have to
upgrade to the XP version now? ;) What does it take to grab Snort from
CVS, patch it, and compile it under Windows?

Thanks,
Frank
