You should be able to just #include <strings.h> in the config.h file in
the root dir (after running ./configure).... Works for me

I don't know if this is old, but ...

I built SNORT 1.9.0; got many warnings about bzero being implicitly
defined.
Looks like any .c file in the source need to include strings.h on
Solaris:

#ifdef HAVE_STRINGS_H
#include <strings.h>
#endif

That's the way it is in the configure script when checking for bzero().
Same
with bcopy() and bcmp().
